1. Platform overview

Ghar Dost is a homestay marketplace connecting verified hosts with guests across India. Ghar Dost facilitates discovery, booking, and on-platform payments but is not the owner of listed properties unless explicitly marked as a company stay.

2. Account & KYC

• Users must provide accurate information and complete KYC where required.
• Hosts must complete verification before accepting paid bookings.
• Ghar Dost may suspend accounts that provide false information or violate platform rules.

3. Booking & 24-hour stays

• Stays are priced per 24-hour period, not standard hotel night blocks.
• Check-in and check-out follow Ghar Dost flexible stay rules — not fixed hotel front-desk timings.
• Guests must select accurate dates, guest count, and room class at the time of booking.
• Bookings are confirmed only after platform payment and host acceptance (where applicable).

4. Pricing & no hidden charges

• Listings display Silver, Gold, or Platinum room classes with applicable price caps.
• The total price shown at checkout is the final platform price — no hidden charges will be added after booking.
• Once a booking is confirmed, the price cannot be changed by the host or platform except where required by law or due to a documented booking error corrected with guest consent.

7. Guest responsibilities

• Respect house rules, local laws, and the host's property.
• Do not exceed the booked guest count or room class without host approval and applicable charges processed on-platform.
• Report safety concerns immediately through the platform or support channels.

8. Payments & refunds

All bookings must be paid on the Ghar Dost platform. Off-platform payment requests are prohibited. Refunds follow the cancellation tier applicable at the time of booking and are processed to the original payment method where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

Ghar Dost acts as an intermediary. While we verify listings and enforce policies, hosts are responsible for the condition of their property. Ghar Dost's liability is limited to the extent permitted under applicable Indian law.
