Identity verification
Hosts and guests complete KYC before high-trust actions. Verification status is checked at booking and listing.
On-platform payments
Pay only through Ghar Dost. Off-platform payment requests are a violation and may result in account suspension.
Encrypted connections
Platform traffic is served over HTTPS. Sensitive credentials and session tokens are protected in transit.
Verified listings
Property listings are reviewed for profile completeness, pricing compliance, and host verification before going live.
Booking protection
- Price lock — confirmed booking prices cannot be changed after payment
- No hidden charges — checkout total is the final platform price
- Host accountability — hosts with 3 consecutive or 3 monthly cancellations are removed
- Company backup stay — if no host is available, Ghar Dost provides an equivalent stay at the same price
Data security
- KYC documents are accessible only to authorised admin reviewers
- Passwords are never stored in plain text
- Database access is restricted to production systems with audit logging
- Regular review of admin roles and access permissions
